The main challenge was to create product demos with no external budget or internal production equipment. At the same time, I only had access to beta devices that were not fully functional.
I was the Digital Marketing Analyst, web developer, and video producer for the company. I was in charge of developing, maintaining, and producing video content for the organization.
To meet the tight deadline for each product video, I opted to bring in my personal equipment to complete the tasks. This involved a lightbox setup, an automated turntable, and a mid-range mirrorless Sony camera with a len. I first captured each device within the lightbox on video with the correct lightings. Then processed the video with manual rotoscoping and composed the final video within Adobe Premiere Pro.
Below are three of the product demos I produced and delivered on time during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Created product pages using the website existing template at the time.
One of the main lessons learned from the project was that given limited resources and a tight deadline, problem-solving minor issues leads you to solving the larger overall challenge. I think back to one of my favorite movie quotes from The Martian, "You just begin, you solve one problem, and then you solve the next one and then the next. And if you solve enough problems, you get to come home (or finish the project)"
